A total of forty-six international exchange students of HSUHK joined two batches of cultural tour arranged by the Institute for Youth Sustainability Leadership, HSUHK (“IYSL”) and a social enterprise Walk In Hong Kong on Aug 30, 2018 and Jan 10, 2019 respectively.
The cultural tour was divided into two parts. In the afternoon section (Hello, Hong Kong), students visited historical spots located in Central and Sheung Wan, such as Statue Square, Tai Kuwn, St John’s Cathedral, and Man Mo Temple. They also took a tram to view skyscrapers in Hong Kong Island. In the evening section (Good Evening, Kowloon), students explored the Red Brick Building in Jordan and the Wholesale Fruit Market in Yau Ma Tei. They enjoyed dim sum and Hong Kong style dishes, and went into the Singing Parlour to feel the charm of Cantopop. The tour ended with a visit to Tin Hau Temple and Temple Street.
The cultural tour is fully sponsored by IYSL. Student Affairs Office has kindly received and connected with the students when they arrived Hong Kong. We hope the new members of HSUHK can strengthen their understanding about Hong Kong, and enjoy the days in this cosmopolitan city.
