The 2nd Peace Summit of Emerging Leaders organized by Humanitarian Affairs Asia was successfully held from February 5 to 7, 2020 in United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand. Humanitarian Affairs, a member of the United Nations Global Compact, has a mission to empower young people and facilitate the youth who are passionate about positive social change. Its Asia unit, Humanitarian Affairs Asia, hosted the 2nd Peace Summit of Emerging Leaders to feature empowering talks, networking sessions and meaningful workshops to equip the 348 delegates from 55 countries with the life skills to put peacebuilding initiatives into practice, in which the theme echoes with SDG 16 “Peace, justice and strong institutions”.
As an institute for mobilising young people to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) through youth education and empowerment, IYSL treasures such outreach opportunity for pursuing global sustainability and citizenship. The Institute will further explore other SDG-related leadership opportunity for our students.
